Aktivkohlegranulat

Die verwendete Aktivkohle wurde speziell für CarboAir entwickelt, um Gerüche aus der Luft zu filtern und optimal mit dem feinmaschigen Zinkgewebe des Filterkörpers zusammenzuarbeiten. Die Aktivkohle wird in feuchter Umgebung bei Temperaturen über 1000 °C aktiviert. Dadurch öffnen sich die Poren der Kohle, was ihr eine extrem hohe Absorptionsfähigkeit für organische Partikel und andere Luftschadstoffe verleiht. Die Kohle wird in Europa nach höchsten Standards hergestellt. Im Gegensatz dazu enthalten chinesische Filter oft billigere Mischungen und sind während des Transports der Gefahr einer Kontamination durch Meerwasser ausgesetzt. Die EU-Produktion ermöglicht eine bessere Qualitätskontrolle. Die Kohle entspricht der Norm EN 12915 und ist somit rein genug für den Einsatz in der Lebensmittelverarbeitung und -herstellung. Größe und Tiefe des Filters wurden speziell für einen optimalen Kontakt zwischen kontaminierter Luft und Kohle ausgelegt.

Activated virgin carbon granulate

The carbon used has been custom-made for CarboAir to extract odours from the air and work in harmony with the fine zinc mesh body. The virgin carbon is activated at temperatures above 1000°C in a humid environment. This process opens up the pores of the carbon to give it incredibly high absorption properties for organic particles and other airborne contaminants. The carbon is manufactured in Europe to very high standards, unlike Chinese filters which often contain cheaper blends and risk contamination by seawater during transport.

EU production allows for better quality control. The carbon is manufactured to EN12915, meaning it is clean enough to be used in food processing and manufacturing facilities. The size and depth of the filter have been specifically designed to provide proper contact between contaminated air and carbon.
