Das Dimlux Xplore Series UV Add-On ist ein zusätzliches LED-Beleuchtungssystem zur Erweiterung bestehender Pflanzenbeleuchtungen mit ultraviolettem UV-A-Licht.
Das System besteht aus zwei UV-LED-Lichtleisten mit jeweils 25 W und bietet eine kombinierte Nennleistung von 50 W.
Die UV-Ausführung liefert einen gesamten Photonenstrom von 43 µmol/s im Wellenlängenbereich von 350–800 nm bei einer Gesamtphotoneneffizienz von 0,86 µmol/J.
UV-A-Licht kann die Pflanzenmorphologie und bestimmte physiologische Reaktionen beeinflussen, darunter die Bildung sekundärer Pflanzenstoffe. Die tatsächliche Wirkung hängt von der Pflanzenart, der Belichtungsdauer und der Lichtintensität ab.
Das UV Add-On ermöglicht die gezielte Ergänzung bestehender Beleuchtungsprogramme mit UV-A-Wellenlängen, ohne die vorhandenen LED-Hauptleuchten ersetzen zu müssen.
