Metrop Enzymes is a highly concentrated liquid enzyme product developed to break down dead roots and plant residues while maintaining a clean and healthy root environment. It is suitable for cultivation in pots, soil, coco, rockwool and hydroponic systems.

Roots naturally die and regenerate throughout the cultivation cycle. If dead root material accumulates in the growing medium, it can reduce available oxygen and create unfavourable conditions around healthy roots. Metrop Enzymes accelerates the decomposition of this organic material and helps keep the root zone clean and active.

The formulation contains high levels of Hydrolase and Lyase enzymes. These enzymes rapidly convert dead plant and root material into smaller compounds, including sugars and minerals, which can then become available within the growing medium.

Beneficial aerobic microorganisms can utilise these decomposition products, supporting nutrient cycling and helping maintain favourable biological conditions around the roots. At the same time, rapid removal of dead organic material helps reduce conditions that favour undesirable anaerobic bacteria and fungi.

By breaking down old root material, Metrop Enzymes improves the air-to-water ratio within the substrate. Living roots gain additional oxygen and physical space, creating better conditions for continued root development and efficient nutrient uptake.
